A9 Badhoevedorp – Holendrecht
The A9 is an important transport link in south Amsterdam, providing essential links to Schiphol airport. This project is the final part of the Schiphol SAA expansion to improve traffic flow and accessibility to this economically important area. The remodeling will be of 10.4km , and the 1.5 km underground highway will be built in the vicinity of the city of Amstelveen, which will be covered with a slab, to create a false tunnel in three different sections, allowing the execution of a new park . It also includes the complete re – development of the existing Schiphol Bridge, 14km of noise barriers, a bridge for cyclists and pedestrians, and the widening of a section from 3 to 4 lanes

The VEENIX consortium is led by Macquarie Capital and supported by Siemens and project delivery firm Count & Cooper. The consortium was selected by Rijkswaterstaat, the executive agency of the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water management in Septem ber 2019, to expand the existing A9 road near Amstelveen from 3 to 4 lanes in each direction. Each partner holds a 33% stake in the project. Macquarie also acted as the sole financial advisor and debt arranger for the consortium.
