The remodeling will be of 10.4km , and the 1.5 km underground highway will be built in the vicinity of the city of Amstelveen, which will be covered with a slab, to create a false tunnel in three different sections, allowing the execution of a new park . It also includes the complete re – development of the existing Schiphol Bridge, 14km of noise barriers, a bridge for cyclists and pedestrians, and the widening of a section from 3 to 4 lanes
The VEENIX consortium is led by Macquarie Capital and supported by Siemens and project delivery firm Count & Cooper. Each partner holds a 33% stake in the project. Macquarie also acted as the sole financial advisor and debt arranger for the consortium.
